Our mission is to guide, support and encourage understanding of, and facilitate easy access to regenerative, sustainable and high-quality food and water for all beings.

TEAM BILL OF RIGHTS

Recognizing the universal and inalienable rights of all individuals access to adequate food and clean water, we establish this Bill of Rights for the Team committed to promoting food and water security globally.

  • Right to Sustenance

    Every person, regardless of geographical location, socio-economic status, or cultural background, has the right to access adequate, nutritious and culturally appropriate food and clean, safe water. 

  • Right to Innovation

    The team shall have the right to embrace scientific and technological innovation that are integrous and high quality, insofar as it respects the rights of individuals and promotes sustainable, equitable access to food and water.

  • Right to Participation

    Every person has the right to participate in decisions that affect their access to food and water. The team shall seek to include diverse voices and perspectives in its work.

  • Right to Education

    Every person has the right to learn about the importance of food and water security, and the team shall seek to educate and raise awareness about these critical issues. Equitable access to conscious resources, easily replicable, sharable & free education. Open and transparent supporting structures of the distribution of education, support and networking.

  • Right to Accountability

    The team shall be accountable to the people it serves, committed to transparency, and always open to scrutiny and feedback.

  • Right to Collaboration

    Recognizing the global nature of food and water security challenges, the team has the right to seek partnerships and collaborations with other entities to achieve shared goals more effectively.

  • Right to Information

    Every person has the right to access clear, accurate, and timely information about the sources and safety of their food and water.
     

  • Right to Sustainability

    The team shall promote practices and sustainable tools that ensure the long-term sustainability of our planet's food and water resources, recognizing the inextricable link between human rights and the health of our environment.

  • Right to Fair Trade

    The team shall promote fair trade and responsible business practices in the production and distribution of food and water, recognizing the rights of workers and the importance of ethical supply chains.

  • Right to Mutual Support

    The team recognizes the right to receive assistance by or in influencing or impacting larger entities such as government or local NGOs. It also reserves the right to be supported in affecting a circular economy & life process.
     
     

  • Right to Equality

    The team shall strive to eliminate discrimination and inequality in access to food and water, recognizing that these are fundamental human rights.

COMPONENTS

The WSS Food and Water Security Team informs and supports development of the related modules of PHOENIX and will use the following guidelines to do so. Are you or would you like to be involved in any of the following sectors? If so, apply to the Food and Water Security Team today. 
 

Promotion of sustainable agricultural practices such as organic farming, agroforestry, regenerative agriculture and permaculture which provide resources, training and support for farmers to adopt environmentally friendly and resource-efficient farming methods. 

Addressing water scarcity, conservation and efficient water management, including initiatives for rainwater harvesting, drip irrigation, water-efficient technologies like desalinization, watershed management, education and tools for water stewardship and responsible water use in agriculture. A sustainable relationship to our water resources is supported by providing resources, training and support for farmers to adopt environmentally friendly and resource-efficient farming methods.

With a focus on building resilience in food and water systems against climate change impacts, this unit includes climate-smart agriculture practices, early warning systems for extreme weather events, crop diversification strategies and resilient infrastructure development to withstand climate-related challenges.

A concentration on optimizing the food supply chain to reduce waste, improve food distribution, ensure food security and identify and support sustainable materials like hemp. Initiatives will be initiated and focused on post-harvest management, cold chain infrastructure, efficient storage, transportation and smart logistics systems to minimize food loss and enhance food accessibility.

Nutrition and health issues, improving access to nutritious and diverse food options, educational programs, community gardens, nutrition-sensitive agriculture and initiatives to combat malnutrition, especially in vulnerable populations.

Policy advocacy and promoting support to current sustainably-focused elected officials through local, state, federal and international fact checking, capacity building and governance structures for effective food and water security management. This unit also supports the development of policies, regulations and incentives that promote sustainable agriculture, equitable water allocation and integrated water resource management.

Prioritizes research and development efforts to drive innovation in sustainable agriculture, water management and food systems with support for scientific studies, technological advancements and knowledge sharing platforms to foster evidence-based decision-making and technological advancements in the field.
