Emiliano Bosio, Ph.D. is the Editor of Conversations on Global Citizenship Education (Routledge), Global Citizenship Education in the Global South (Brill) and The Emergence of the Ethically Engaged University (Springer). Recent publications include Critical Pedagogy and Global Citizenship Education (with Henry Giroux) (Routledge) and Global Citizenship Education at the Crossroads (with Carlos Alberto Torres) (Springer).

Dr. Bosio's academic interests include critical and transformative education, globalization dynamics, global citizenship, educational policy, comparative and international education, teacher training, higher education, participatory democracy and youth engagement. Dr. Bosio is the Editor of Global Citizenship Education: Perspectives on Research, Teaching, and Learning in Higher Education (Routledge, 2021) and Co-Editor (with Yusef Waghid) of Global Citizenship Education in the Global South: Educators' Perceptions and Practices (Brill, 2022). His most recent publications include Global Human Resources or Critical Global Citizens? (Springer, 2021), Ethical Global Citizenship Education (with Hans Schattle) (Springer, 2021) and Linking Moral and Social-political Perspectives in Global Citizenship Education (with Wiel Veugelers) (Springer, 2021). Forthcoming projects include the special issue 'Values, Knowledge and Curriculum in Global Citizenship Education' (with Carlos Alberto Torres and William Gaudelli) (Springer, Prospects) and 'Philosophical, Ethical and Pedagogical Visions of Global Citizenship Education: Critical Perspectives from International Educators (with Yusef Waghid) (Citizenship Teaching & Learning, Intellect).

Kay Firth-Butterfield is CEO of Good Tech Advisory LLC and one of four TIME Impact awardees 2024. The former inaugural Head of AI at the World Economic Forum, she is one of the foremost experts in the world on the governance of AI. She is a Barrister, former Judge and Professor, technologist and entrepreneur who has an abiding interest in how humanity can equitably benefit from new technologies, especially AI.

Kay is an Associate Barrister (Doughty Street Chambers), Master of the Inner Temple, London and served on the Lord Chief Justice’s Advisory Panel on AI and Law. In 2014, was the world’s first Chief AI Ethics officer. She is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Texas and was Vice-Chair of The IEEE Global Initiative for Ethical Considerations in Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems and was part of the group which met to create the Asilomar AI Ethical Principles.

Kay is also on the Polaris Council for the Government Accountability Office (USA), Advisory Board of Aboitiz Data Innovation, the Advisory Board for UNESCO International Research Centre on AI and the Board of Earth Species Project. Also, Kay serves on the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on AI and their AI Governance Alliance.

Kay has advanced degrees in Law and International Relations and regularly speaks to international audiences addressing many aspects of the beneficial and challenging technical, economic and social changes arising from the use of AI. She has been consistently recognized as a leading woman in AI since 2018 and was featured in the New York Times as one of 10 Women Changing the Landscape of Leadership, in 2021

Caroline Hickman has a background in mental health social work and has been a practicing psychotherapist since 2000 using a depth psychology (Jungian), ecopsychology and analytic relational approach. She is a lecturer at the University of Bath researching children and young people’s emotional responses to climate change globally for 15 years examining eco-anxiety and distress, eco-empathy, trauma, moral injury and the impact of climate anxiety on relationships. She delivers talks & workshops in climate psychology, emotional resilience, and mental health internationally. Caroline has been developing a range of therapeutic approaches to ecological distress including a psychological assessment model for eco-anxiety, emotional resilience, and reframing mental health in an archetypal and cultural lens. Her therapeutic approach includes use of stories, imagery, imaginal techniques, relationship with nature, and art. She is co-lead author on a 2021 quantitative global study into 10,000 children & young people’s emotions & thoughts about climate change published in The Lancet Planetary Health.
